President

Ms. Thuy Nguyen

Ms. Thuy Nguyen (Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy) born 12 May 1979 in Vinh City, Nghe An Province, in the north of Vietnam.

An experienced business woman, academic and humanitarian supporter, a daughter to Vietnamese parents, the middle sibling from a family of 5.

In business, Thuy is a dynamic international business woman and entrepreneur, the founder and CEO of her Technology company Smart World Technology Co., Ltd, leading a large multi-disciplinary team supplying innovative products to Government and commercial enterprise at home and across the Asia Pacific.

As Founder of Biz Today Media Company, she is also highly active in the business community, rejuvenating the JCI (Junior Chamber International) - Central Saigon as former President and remains Vice President of ABIC (Asian Business Inspiration Club) and a current member of Business Network International (BNI) Saigon. Graduating with High Distinction grades for outstanding performance in Information Technology from the University of Natural Sciences of Ho Chi Minh City, she received her Master degree in Computer Science from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand in 2008.

As an academic and management professional, Thuy has more than 15 years of IT research and development and teaching which includes 10 years of IT management with a strong focus around NGO (non-governmental organisations / not for profit) projects.

A Founder and Committee Member of Dinh Tien Hoang high school, Thuy has continued to give back to a younger generation, to inspire and develop the next generation, lecturing for the Informatics Faculty, Nong Lam University across a wide range of specialist technology discipline areas. Thuy is an inspirational leader and achiever to the next generation of Business Women in her country and is highly admired amongst her younger peers and staff.

Thuy is committed to driving social change and making a positive contribution to the Vietnamese community through the establishment of AMAV.

Vice President

Mr Graham Fountain LLB, Grad.Dip.Exec.L’ship, Grad.Dip.Legal Prac, Ass.Dip.App.Science, NIMAS Accredited Mediator, GAICD, GIFireE, PRI

Graham Fountain is a transformational, visionary, dynamic and highly responsive CEO, Non-Executive Chair/Director and Nationally Accredited Mediator with a proven track record in organisational change and improving business and brand performance through strategic foresight, service delivery innovation and inspirational leadership in large multi-faceted organisations.

Skilled at building and leveraging strong relationships and deep sustainable change within large public and private sector organisations, including community and membership based organisations, and providing high level advice at Board and Ministerial level. Demonstrated achievements in financial management, governance, strategy development, implementation of major commercial and national/international business development initiatives, leveraging brand capital, stakeholder engagement, communications, culture change, building high performance teams, advocacy, human resource/industrial relations management, the development of strategically aligned organisational structures and lateral service delivery solutions in dynamic and sensitive operating environments.

Graham holds a Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Graduate Diploma of Executive Leadership, Associate Diploma of Applied Science and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Institute of Fire Engineers. Graham’s breadth of executive management experience also includes the completion of the prestigious Senior Executive Program at the London Business School and a period of secondment to the Office of Deputy Prime Minister in the UK during a time of significant machinery of government change and counter terrorism planning.

Graham brings to AMAV experience leading the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) Group, the governing body for motor sport in Australia, delegated this authority by the international peak body the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) as its CEO for a period of 3.5 years. CAMS are also the national sporting organisation (NSO) recognised by the Australian Government. CAMS is a geographically diverse national member based organisation with in excess of 50,000 members, 400 affiliated clubs and responsibility for all aspects of motor sport.

During his tenure, Graham transformed the organisation and achieved Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status for CAMS, accreditation by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) and Gold level accreditation by FIA as a Regional Training Provider (RTP), as one of the first accredited in the world for the development and delivery of motor sport training within the Asia/Pacific Region. These built CAMS national and international reputation. Graham also lead CAMS as the organiser of the Australia Formula 1TM Grand Prix, as well as supporting Singapore and Korea during their inaugural Formula 1TM Grands Prix and ASN capability enhancement and the conduct of a range of other international/national events, including the World Rally Championship (Rally Australia).

Graham’s extensive executive management, legal and governance experience, including outstanding political nous and depth of risk/crisis management experience as well as his FIA and motor sport experience provides significant international expertise to the AMAV Board as its Deputy President.

Vice President

Ms. Hue Pham

Ms. Hue Pham (Pham Thi Bich Hue) is a successful business woman and strong leader across the business scene in Vietnam.

As Founder and CEO of Pan Pacific Logistics Corp, she has lead the growth in the corporation which now specialises in Logistics, Warehouse and Transport in Vietnam.

Hue is also currently Chairwoman and CEO of Western Pacific Group a company focusing on Industry Parks and International Trading.

As the Chairwoman of Long An International Port, Hue oversees one of the biggest seaports in the South of Vietnam. Long An International Port not only provides port services but also related services such as warehousing, logistics, freight forwarding and international multimodal transport.

A strong contributor to business community, which includes her role as Vice President of Young Businessman Association of Ho Chi Minh City and Vice President of Young Businessman Association of Vietnam.

Hue studied at the Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City and holds a PhD qualification in logistics.

Hue brings to AMAV her experience in leadership, logistics and is responsible for the development of Public, Community and Government Relationships.
